About Me

Hey, I’m Krissi.

I’m the Head Instructor at my South Korea-based English academy and the founder of a small (but mighty) and successful content writing and strategy company.

I work these jobs simultaneously and, more importantly, it’s my goal to help self-motivated women create their own success stories by building their own freelance writing businesses.

My Story

After graduating from university in 2009 with $60,000 USD in student loan debt and holding a few demanding and soul-sucking sales jobs, I realized I needed a change.

By Christmas 2011, I was broken. I was living in Portland, Oregon, and knew I needed to do something “crazy” to get me out of my personal slump and into a job that would challenge me in more consequential ways. So, in 2013, I moved to South Korea for a year to teach English.

Long story short, what I expected to last a year turned into more than eight. After my first two years, I went from being a teacher to becoming the Head Instructor. But while I was loving my job, I still wasn’t making enough to tackle my massive debts. I needed more money.

But then in 2015, something amazing happened! A former friend from college approached me with an opportunity: Helping her with her growing Content Marketing business. Before I knew it, I’d started a content writing and strategy side hustle and I've never looked back.

Where I Am Now

In 2017, I launched my own freelance writing business: I’ve worked with countless business owners in a blur of industries, paid down massive amounts of student loan debt, and had extra money to travel more while living abroad. Best of all, I've built a life I love.

Over time, I realized that I had stumbled, inadvertently, onto a secret so many other women were oblivious to: That you can build a business doing work you're passionate about without sacrificing your sanity.

After a while, I didn’t want to keep the secret anymore. As I met more and more friends, I knew I had a wealth of information I could share that would benefit them, too.

Guess what? You can become a freelance writer – no matter your background – and make good money doing it.

I’m here to teach you how to do it.

Who You Are

If you’ve read this far, I’ve got a few questions for you:

  • Are you looking for ways to make a little extra money on the side that won’t come back to haunt you?

  • Are you interested in paying down debt faster but don’t want to slave away at low-paying part-time jobs or in pennies-on-the-hour “gig economy” positions?

  • Do you have high dreams of eventually quitting your full-time job – maybe to travel the world or live in another country for a while?

  • Are you self-motivated and willing to do the homework to build a business that will help you create the life you've always wanted?

Guess what? You can create your own work and make good money doing it. I'm here to teach you how to do it.
